When to call

These are the general delivery call instructions. If you have given birth before, or if there are other particularities, we may have made other arrangements with you. We will discuss this with you during the consultation hour or when we talk about your birthplan.

In any case, always call when you:

  • You are worried about your health or your baby's health
  • You feel your baby moving less often or not at all
  • You have contractions that come every 3-5 minutes, last for 1 minute and are painful
  • Waters break during the day. We will then come and see you during the day
  • Waters break when your baby is not yet properly descended
  • Waters break and the amniotic fluid is green or brown in colour.
  • You have blood loss that is more than a menstruation
